Jewelers vary in the services they offer, most jewelers have accreditation in gemstones, look for a professional jeweler that is GIA certified not just a retail jewelry store with sales people working on commission. Care of your gemstone jewelry is key to being a good steward of your treasures. Never expose your jewelers to detergents, chlorine and other chemicals.
