Jewelers Services Resizing Rings Information Care Of Your Gemstone Jewelry
Most full service jewelers are equipped to do professional ring sizing or offer ring guards at affordable pricing. Jewelers vary in the services they offer, most jewelers have accreditation in gemstones, look for a professional jeweler that is GIA certified not just a retail jewelry store with sales people working on commission. Many jewelers offer professional sizing on site and offer Rhodium and other precious metal services. Please call ahead to see what services they do offer and estimates.
Care of your gemstone jewelry is key to being a good steward of your treasures. Never expose your jewelers to detergents, chlorine and other chemicals. Do polish gently with a soft cloth, use care when going to the beach, most jewelry is lost there due to slippery sunscreens and water. Do get the prongs on your jewelry checked semi annually if you wear them a lot as some will inadvertently tangle their rings or necklaces on fabrics and knits.
